President Kenyatta travelled to Namibia on Thursday to mark the country’s 29th independence celebrations and assured Kenyans in diaspora that he will do everything in his power to fight graft
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s official social media pages on Twitter and Facebook have been temporarily suspended.
This is according to Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita who stated that the move was made to allow for the necessary remedial measures.
“On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. All official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken,” he said.
Earlier on Friday morning, a tweet on the President’s Official Twitter handle got Kenyans talking after he vowed to fight all corrupt individuals regardless of their relationship with him or tribe.
“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you.
“I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” said the Head of State.

“Kenya has great potential but there is need to change practices that hinder our country from achieving progress.
In response to Prof Nyarango, Dean Medical School, University of Namibia, who said Kenya’s education system should be geared towards enabling youth to be employable in a changing world, the President assured him that the country had embarked on making changes to the curriculum to meet the emerging needs.
