Kanze Dena Speaks on Mysterious Woman Caught Crawling Behind Uhu
PresidentUhuru Kenyattaon Friday evening gave a live televised roundtable interview from State House, Mombasa.
However, many Kenyans were intrigued after the camerascaught a woman crawlinga few meters behind the Head of State.
In a matter of minutes, the video of woman walking on all fours was turned into memes and became a subject of fun and online debate.
State House spokesperson,Kanze Dena, has nevertheless clarified that the woman was part of her communication team.
“The woman is a member of my team, and, honestly, I won’t reveal her name. I have to protect her from ridicule at all cost,” Kanze was quoted by theeDaily.
Recounting the incident, Kanze who is also the Head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) noted that by the time the cameras begun rolling, the woman was on the right side of the President.
“Her positioning was okay until something came up during the interview. I needed her to handle some urgent task,” Kanze noted.
As such, arrangements were made to have her crawl to the left behind Uhuru when the cameras were focused on the journalists.
“Unfortunately, when she was doing that, the cameras resumed focus on the Head of State.
“Though occasional, these things do happen during such fast-paced and multi-camera productions. I am blaming poor timing on the gaffe,” Kanze concluded.
