President Uhuru Kenyatta caused a scene outside Uhuru Gardens Primary School on Wednesday when he briefly made a stopover outside the gate.
An excited president, on the front door of his official vehicle, addressed a gathering albeit without a microphone.
Moments later, Uhuru, surrounded by hawk-eyed security forces, summoned a banana vendor to come forward.
The unidentified man, surges forward and hands over the fruits the the excited president as he strongly shakes his hands.The president is heard saying: “Weka hii huko. Hii no ya breakfast sasa.”
This loosely translates to: “Place these bananas there. I will use them for breakfast.”
As the man retreats, Uhiru then asks him to come back as he instructs one of the security officer to give him money for the sale as Kenyans cheered on.
The President has toured the institution to oversee ongoing Kenya Certificate for Primary Education exams which started on Tuesday.
